one night i was walking down the street,
i started wondering...about a few things in life...

when will it ever be; that i! a redeemed one,
will soon be happy and jolly,

i acted so, that i was redeemed by the blood;
but lo and behold, time flies so fast,
i have not even noticed that slowly but surely,
i slided back, and later on, seeing myself,
again and again, crying, wailing, and pouring out...

when will it ever be,
that i! the redeemed will truly be happy
i am happy, up and lively, but my life looks so empty...

no it will never be, the evil one can never take hold of me,
i the redeemed, will stand in faith, will never be that happy,
but will always have peace and joy within me...

i the redeemed say so...
